What to Bring: Water bottle, snack, and creativity!  

In this afternoon mixed media art camp, campers will explore creative expression using a wide variety of materials such as paint, fabric, tissue paper, magazines, and found objects. Through hands-on experimentation, students will learn how to build layered surfaces and combine materials in imaginative ways. 

Artists will focus on organizing key visual elements--including color, shape, line, contrast, composition, and texture--to express ideas, tell personal stories, and create meaningful artwork. This camp encourages curiosity, self-expression, and creative problem-solving while allowing campers the freedom to experiment and develop their own artistic voice! 

Meet our Staff:

Tina Freebody

Tina Freebody is a fine arts painter with over 25 years of experience in the visual arts. She earned her BFA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and has spent decades developing her studio practice while teaching and mentoring young artists. Tina is the co-owner of Full Circle Pottery Studio with her husband, Brett Freebody, who is also a member of the Landon School Visual Arts Department in the Upper School.

A former high school visual arts teacher in the Boston area, Tina brings a deep passion for teaching, creativity, and process-based learning. She draws on her extensive background in painting and mixed media to guide students through engaging, hands-on art experiences. At Landon, Tina is excited to share her knowledge and enthusiasm while teaching campers a wide range of mixed media art projects.
