Nature Art

One-week session 

 

What to bring:  Old T-Shirt or Smock, snack, water bottle, creativity! 

 

This sunshine-filled course allows students to explore their creativity, discover new techniques, and build skills using nature as the backdrop. Students will not only find inspiration from their surroundings but learn to examine the tools our environment provides us to create unique sustainable works of art. Students will experience art outside and within the classroom, building skills in color theory, symbolism, composition, line and pattern making, as well as mixed media.

Projects may include:

• Cyanotype on Fabric
• Triptych Gelli Prints (cards and bookmarks)
• Shadow Tracing Contour Line
• Bark and Leaf Crayon Rubbing Collage
• Plant Mandalas Suncatchers
• Plein Air
• Yarn Stick Group Wishing Tree Sculpture
