What to bring: Backpack, sturdy and comfortable footwear for walking outside most of the days, comfortable clothing, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, snacks, lunch, water bottle.

Getting kids off screens and into the outdoors.

The Playful Generation is a summer program designed to help kids reconnect with themselves, their friends, and the local environment. Our goal is simple: teach the life skill of real-world exploration.

Daily micro-adventures: Each day, we head out on a "micro-adventure" to one of the many great parks and natural spaces just a short drive away. We start every morning with a group check-in to catch up and set the tone for the day. From there, we spend our time exploring the woods, playing together, and enjoying the fresh air.

Back to the basics We focus on the simple, healthy activities that make summer feel like a true break. It’s about practicing how to have fun anywhere, using nothing but each other and nature.

  • Free play: hide-and-seek, camouflage, and group challenges.
  • Outdoor fun: skip rocks, explore creek beds, and build forts.
  • Simple moments: picnics in the grass, gazing out from overlooks, and wandering trails.

By the end of the week, campers will appreciate screenless adventures. They’ll come home with new friendships and a better understanding of the amazing natural spaces right in their own neighborhoods.
