This camp is targeted towards first- and second-year Spanish students and for those who wish to review their Spanish before the start of the school year. Spanish Camp will focus on grammar, verb drills, vocabulary building, and conversational skills. Campers will develop their ability to listen, write, read, and speak in Spanish. Along with the language lessons, we will incorporate activities to explore the cultural components tied to artwork as this is an important part of how people communicate and live. Giving the students a broader perspective on the Spanish-speaking world.

Meet our Staff:

Justin Roman

Justin Roman is a licensed clinical social worker and is currently a Spanish teacher and baseball coach in the middle school at Landon. Justin was previously the lower and middle school counselor at Landon and has worked in a variety of settings where his clinical skills as a social worker have helped children expand their social and emotional abilities to make them better leaders. Justin has a special interest in helping campers understand the connection between leadership and social intelligence and how they can develop their “soft” skills to lead groups in a more efficient and effective manner.

Fun Fact: Justin enjoys learning about leadership through books, seminars, and through conversations with people who lead.
