Landon Summer's Community Service Camp is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our surrounding area while serving a variety of local organizations. Campers will also learn leadership and teamwork skills while making new friends! After each service-learning adventure, the group will spend time reflecting on the activities. Campers can earn up to 30 Community Service Learning (SSL) hours to fulfill graduation and confirmation requirements. All service hour paperwork and approvals must be completed on your own.
Note: May need to provide proof of COVID vaccination and volunteer waivers.
**More details regarding specific activities will be available prior to camp beginning.

Meet our Staff:
Justin Roman
Justin is a licensed social worker and is currently a Spanish Teacher and Baseball coach in the middle school at Landon. Justin was previously the lower and middle school counselor at Landon and has worked in a variety of setting where his clinical skills as a social worker have helped children expand their social and emotional abilities to make them better leaders. Justin has a special interest in helping campers understand the connection between leadership and social intelligence and how they can develop their “soft” skills to lead groups in a more efficient and effective manner.
Fun fact: Justin enjoys learning about leadership through books, seminars, and through conversations with people who lead.
