  Rachael Feola

Director
Rachael comes to us from Norwood School, where she spent the last three years as the Auxiliary Programs Manager and Camp Co-Director.  Rachael is a native of Washington, DC and has a deep love for camp.  She has been a camper, a counselor, a unit leader, a program director, and loves all things camp! Fun fact: Rachael is the costume designer for Washington Revels!

  MICHAEL COOK

Assistant Director
Michael Cooke started at Landon in the fall of 2000, and has worked at Landon Summer in a variety of positions. Mike is currently the Assistant Athletic Director for the Middle School, teaches Physical Science and Ancient History, and coaches MS football and JV lacrosse. Fun Fact: Mike started his Landon career as the head athletic trainer.

  ANDY KATZ

Director, Boys Day Camp
Andy has 34 years of teaching experience, including 26 years at Landon School. He has worked with the Boys Day Camp for 23 years and has been Boys Day Camp director for the past 18. He teaches mathematics in Landon’s Upper School and is the 12th grade Class Dean. He is also the head wrestling coach. Fun fact: Andy is the father of four girls!


 

  DAVID BARNHOUSE

Assistant Director, Boys Day Camp
David is in his 8th year of teaching. 6 of those years were spent in Loudoun County Public Schools. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in education and teaches Social Studies at Northwest High School in Germantown, MD. David has worked with the Boys Day Camp for the past three summers as soccer coach before stepping into his new role as Assistant Director in 2019. Fun facts: David is originally from Michigan and loves to watch premier league soccer with his son!

  ALLY FARIAS

Co-Director, Girls Day Camp
Ally began working at Girls Day camp as a teacher in 2017 and has been back every year since. She taught arts and crafts along with various clubs such a STEM and American Sign Language. Ally graduated from Towson University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. During the school year, she is a 3rd grade teacher at Woodlin Elementary School. Ally's favorite part of camp is the people. She loves working with the Girls Day Camp staff and getting to see campers having fun and making friends! Fun fact: Ally loves to travel! She's been to 10 countries and hopes to keep adding more to her list!

Kelly TapisCo-Director, Girls Day Camp

Kelly is excited to join the Landon Summer team! She is a Montgomery County native with over 11 years of teaching experience. During the school year, she teaches special education in grades K-5 at Woodlin Elementary School. Kelly has a bachelor's degree from Towson University in early childhood education and a master's degree from Towson University in special education. Fun Fact: Kelly is a huge Maryland basketball fan and goes to every home game!
