With an emphasis on fun and a track record of providing students with a foundational knowledge of touch-typing skills, this camp is a comfortable space in which to conquer the keys. A typical day finds students engaged in self-paced typing practice, relaxing breaks with popsicles, a change-up typing activity, and a final cool-down time with typing games. We utilize both Typing.com as well as QwertyTown 2.0, winner of Ed Tech Digest’s prestigious Cool Tool Award for the second year in a row. Popular with kids and teachers alike, this program offers:

  • A customizable avatar to dress and accessorize, using Qwerty Coins earned by completing lessons and sections—highly motivating!

  • Adjustable accuracy and speed goals, providing a comfortable yet challenging learning zone.

  • An orderly way to learn finger/key combinations—home row, top row, bottom row, and reach keys. Some students even master the numbers row.

  • A chance to earn medals, play head-to-head typing challenges, and share notes through a class email.

  • A one-year subscription to QuertyTown to continue using at home.

Make this the summer to join the fun, make new friends, and learn to type!
