A Landon Summer treasure for 26 years, Girls Day Camp (GDC) provides a structured and supportive environment that builds self-esteem and fosters lifelong friendships. Mornings are focused on a variety of activities including daily instructional swim, sports, tennis, archery, arts & crafts and more. Afternoons are all about Clubs! GDC Clubs give the girls an opportunity to choose their own activities in order to further explore their interests. Clubs change weekly throughout the summer and may include activities such as lacrosse, cooking, jewelry making, and even circus fun! Girls sign up for two clubs of their choice on a weekly basis and participate during the last two periods of each day. Weekly assemblies and spirit days also give the girls opportunities to showcase their creative personality. Campers are grouped by age and friend requests will be accommodated when possible.
Check out the 2019 GDC schedule and 2019 Special Events calendar. Summer 2020 schedule and special events coming soon!
Sun safety at our Day Camps is always a top priority, so we will be providing all campers in our Preschool, Girls, and Boys Day Camps with sunscreen for reapplication during the day. We partner with Rocky Mountain Sunscreen, which has been servicing summer camps for over 15 years. If you prefer to send your child with his/her own sunscreen, please contact the Camp Office and we will alert the group counselors. Please note, we still ask that you apply sunscreen to your child in the morning before coming to camp!
Landon Summer Grill
Landon Summer partners with Sage Dining Services to offer a box lunch program for our Day Camps. Sage currently services Landon School and offers a nut-free menu with vegetarian and gluten-free options. This box lunch option is available every Wednesday to children in the Preschool, Girls and Boys Day Camps only. Lunches cost $6.50 and may be purchased through our online registration program. Lunches are pre-boxed and delivered directly to your child’s camp.
