We all just love stories and especially the pictures that help stories come to life. We have chosen great storybook artists and stories to share that will make us smile and inspire our own storybook art. We’ll meet fascinating characters such as David McKee’s Elmer, the patchwork elephant, and Don Freeman’s Corduroy, the lovable bear. We’ll create noodle assemblages, collages, faraway planets and more as we explore the wonderful world of picture books and illustrators.

ZooDoodle Art

Lions and tigers and snakes, oh my! Off on safari we go to create jungle cats, monkeys, elephants and more. We’ll make safari art with paints, modeling materials and wild animal print papers. During camp we will create pictures of your awesome adventure. We will play games, listen and sing along to music, plus tell animal stories while on the exploration. So pack your gear and let’s take off on a ZooDoodle Art Safari!

Art Rocks

The stage is set for rock artists everywhere! Art Rocks combines fun music and energetic art for a wildly creative adventure. Campers will make musical instruments, learn about rhythm and create some music of their own. They’ll design a poster promoting a concert, as well as a unique label for a new CD. These rock artists will create their own rock art, design mystifying paintings to music and try their hand at melodic action painting. So come into the spotlight for a rocking good time!

Kids on the Runway

Attention boys and girls! Join us for Abrakadoodle's ultimate style camp. From Mondrian to Louis Vuitton, this is the place to design your own clothing line inspired by the illustrators, designers and artists who focus on the world of high fashion! Try out your creative ideas on paper vests and cool accessories. Experiment with fabric design and play with concepts for bags, gloves, scarves, hats, footwear, jewelry and much more. Get in the spotlight - and ready for the Kids' Runway Show - featuring unique portfolio designs created by YOU!

Under the Sea

Make a big splash and join us for under-the-sea adventures. Campers will learn all about jellyfish, octopuses, dolphins, whales and even mermaids. There’s nothing fishy about using cool tools and materials to create fun paintings, collages, sculptures and more. Campers will have oceans of fun designing cool art projects, playing games, reading stories, learning about ecology and examining underwater habitats. So dive in! You won’t get wet but you’ll make some new friends and have tons of fun under the sea!

Once Upon a Time

Calling all knights, ladies, princes and princesses! Enter the enchanted kingdom of Abrakadoodle Land filled with castles, dragons, fairies and stories of magic and surprise. We’ll create our own royalty gear, design our own castles and sprinkle fairy dust to create colorful and whimsical art. We’ll learn about medieval life through the Book of Hours by the Limbourg Brothers, practice being court jesters and even design a royal Faberge Egg. You’ll get the regal treatment in a camp filled with stories, music, games, wonder and enchantment!

Museum Mystery Tour

Who is our mystery artist? You will be a sleuth and collect clues while exploring artwork of great artists like Cezanne, Jasper Johns, O'Keeffe and more. We will look at museums around the world to learn new techniques, interesting art words and facts while we create our own masterpieces. But pay attention to the facts - they will point to the mystery artist!

Going Green

Green kids care about the environment and we do, too! We will create French Santon statues in the style of Piet Mondrian, Chilean Rain Sticks, and Tiffany Lamp sculptures, while learning about fine artists such as Renoir, Gustav Klimt and Georges Braque. Each work of art is a masterpiece made with recycled materials that both decorate our world and help to keep our environment clean. We use many, many colors, but our emphasis is on green!

Boost your imagination while you play and paint with magnets, explore robotic sculptures and Technology. Develop your Engineering skills and design your dream house! Create Artistic Math puzzles and much more while you ignite your creativity. Join us on the STEAM art venture and have a blast!

Yummy Art

Get your spoon, paintbrush and chocolate syrup ready – we're going to create Art! From cupcake design to mosaics with food to chocolate syrup painting – it's all about the wonderful and wacky world of food art. We'll build spaghetti sculptures, learn about food artists such as Vic Muniz and Jason Mecier, and play “foodie” games. It's art that's good enough to eat! (No peanut products will be used)
