Tae Kwon Do teaches children valuable character traits such as courtesy, respect, cooperation, commitment, and perseverance. Master Lee’s Martial Arts staff are experts at motivating children and enabling them to give their best effort while still keeping classes fun. Our philosophy is to help children develop their self-confidence through encouragement, praise, and motivating them to attempt new activities.
Each day, we will participate in a series of drills and skills that develop strength, flexibility, and endurance. We will also focus on increasing coordination, balance, reflexes, and athletic skills. Best of all, campers will love the excitement of learning Tae Kwon Do kicks, forms, and self-defense techniques. Each technique is taught in a step-by-step manner. We use a variety of different drills, training tools, and teaching methods to keep classes varied and fun. Campers will develop social skills as they practice new techniques in a group, cooperate with a partner, and learn to focus on a teacher and follow verbal instructions. In addition, campers will learn how to tie their own “dee” or belt, the significance of bowing and how to bow, and Korean phrases related to Tae Kwon Do commands, counting, courtesy, and techniques. This camp is for all ability levels. White belts will be provided for beginners or campers can bring their own belts (yellow and above) from home.
