PPA Hoops offers a great opportunity for campers to engage in the traditional PPA basketball experience with our top-tier coaches. The mornings are focused on instruction, with drills that help campers work on shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, setting and using screens, and 1-on-1’s. The afternoons are for mini-games and scrimmages where campers can put their practice into play. Campers will also participate in daily competitions and trivia that gives them the chance to win prizes. Daily themes include NBA skills, dribbling contests, 3-point contests, and more. PPA Hoops is an excellent place to learn and improve the fundamentals of basketball in an encouraging, safe, and fun environment.
Also check out Boys Basketball for older campers!
Mike McClain’s love of sports and helping kids led him to the Player Progression Academy in the fall of 2014. After running soccer programs at every age level for over a year, Mike is proud to help turn PPA into a multi-sport organization with the introduction of PPA Hoops. Mike was a multi-sport star athlete at Dematha High School, Blair High School, and McDaniel College where he excelled in varsity soccer and basketball while receiving his degree in Business Economics.
Eli Schwadron’s first word was “ball.” He has an extensive knowledge of the game and his top priority is making sure all of his players get the best experience possible. Eli made a name for himself on the intramural courts at the University of Illinois and graduated with a BS degree in Journalism. He was a multi-sport athlete at Blair High School and has over 8 years of coaching experience.
