Help set your child up for success for next school year! In this class, students will receive a review and an opportunity to practice the foundational building blocks of elementary math in a small online class setting. This class is designed to preview concepts for your student’s next academic school year as well as support and review skills learned in your student’s previous school year.
Students will focus on learning mathematical concepts and skills through visual lessons and teacher instruction. To develop a further understanding of Math, the students will follow a sequence of learning, consolidation and application. Following the Singapore Math curriculum, students will view manipulatives to develop a concrete understanding of the concepts. To consolidate the skills, students will analyze pictorial models and diagrams by practicing math journals and activities. Finally, students will apply their knowledge to abstract problem-solving challenges. Concepts covered will include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and estimation with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions. Homework will be assigned on weekdays.
