Students will use the graphing calculator for graphing, finding roots of all types of functions, and examining transformations of parent functions. Assessments include daily quizzes and quarterly progress checks. Although homework is not assigned, students will be expected to complete in class assignments and turn them in for 10% of their grade at the end of each quarter. Any uncompleted classwork will need to be completed at home.
Course Credit
This class is eligible for credit pending approval from the student’s school. It is important to confirm with your child's home school that credit can be earned for this class. Given the accelerated pace of this class, each day is equivalent to one week of class during the regular school year. Therefore, absences can be detrimental to a student’s progress and grade. Students who misses three or more class days will no longer be eligible to receive course credit. Please complete our Course Credit Release Form and return to the Landon Summer office prior to the start of the course in order to earn credit.
