The Next Level Field Hockey camp at Landon Summer is structured to rapidly develop and improve each player’s skills while teaching the latest techniques in a fun, positive environment. Each day will include a variety of field hockey drills in which players work on stick skills (dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting and advanced moves), as well as defensive tackling, positioning and team strategies. We will also play small-sided and full-field games to allow campers to practice the skills they have learned in a game situation. Players will have an opportunity to cool off in the pool after lunch. Coaches include current and former University of Maryland Division I field hockey players.

Rain Day Activities
In the event of severe inclement weather, our campers will be engaged in the following indoor activities:

  • Technical sessions (field positions, playing styles, etc.)

  • Field Hockey video sessions

We will follow the weather closely to make sure that campers get back onto the field as soon as the rain stops and it is safe to play.
