Coding Academy

Two one-week sessions
July 12–16
9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Rising 6th through rising 8th graders
Arrival/dismissal zone: Red

This program blends online and "unplugged" non-computer activities to teach campers computational thinking, problem-solving, programming concepts and digital citizenship. Throughout the week, we will use Code Studio, Artist, and Sprite Lab to learn the fundamentals of programming while integrating music and art into their own creations. During our final capstone project, campers will use the design process to incorporate all that they have learned into an online tool they can share with family and friends. No coding experience is necessary to take this hands-on class.
